14 Turns in 1.6 Miles, ProAutoSports Lights Up Wild Horse Pass Motorsports Park’s Main Track
Chandler, ARIZ. (April 18, 2016) – With its long straight and many turns, ProAutoSports and its members spent the weekend running on Wild Horse Pass Motorsports Main Track. As some were there to race and other to improve their driving skills, they were putting both their regular and competitive driving skills to the test while they carved up the 14 turn, 1.6 mile road course.
ProAutoSports’ Hurley Hatch tells Arizona Auto Scene that Sunday’s turnout at the track was slightly less that Saturday, but the pits still looked pretty full and there was plenty of cars and karts on track throughout the day.
Friends and family lined the fences when race time rolled around. Jeff Matthews dominated in his 240Z during the Blue/White race, pulling away from the rest of the field by about a quarter mile in the first lap alone. During the Yellow race, Art Powell, Dan Erickson and Adam Powell put on an awesome show with some close racing in their Formula Mazdas.
